We arrived at SAM MUN about 19.00 hours and lay alongside a warship. Some Japanese came from the warship and spoke to the coxswain PANG KAM CHIU in Punti dialect. Another two Japanese dressed in Khaki uniform searched the launch. Permission was not asked from the coxswain to search and they did not tell him they were going to carry out a search.
